Tooling and automation for optical machining

From precision parts
to practical
automation.

For optical machining, we start with the drawing, the workpiece and the equipment already on your floor. Together they define which parts to make and which operations to automate.

CG machine retrofit / Concept rendering

Start with one fixture or one machine.

A custom part, a repetitive task or a machine ready for an upgrade: each calls for a different starting point.

The illustrations show possible applications. Specifications depend on the workpiece and the equipment.

How does a lens get from the tray to the machine?

Picking up a lens starts with two decisions: where it can be touched and how it must arrive at the machining position. The workpiece drawing and the current loading sequence help define both.

Contact area
Identify which optical faces, edges or rim surfaces may be touched before choosing a gripper or pickup method.
Handoff signals
Map pickup permission, handoff confirmation and fault-stop signals to the existing machine interface.
Explore the automation concept

From the first drawing to handover.

We start with the part you need or the operation you want to improve.

Understand the task

We review drawings, workpieces and the current operation with you, then identify what needs to change.

Evaluate the options

We consider how the part will be made or the mechanism connected. We agree on the scope and cost of any prototyping or sample evaluation before proceeding.

Agree on the scope

We confirm the specification, price, schedule and acceptance criteria, including who is responsible for production, installation and maintenance.

Build, verify and hand over

We carry out the agreed work, check operation and quality against the specification, and prepare the operating and maintenance documents for handover.

Start with a drawing or a process question.

Tell us about the part or machine, how it works today and what you want to change. You can get in touch before the specification is final.
